Artist Demo Series #3

The Artist's Demonstration Series continues at North Country Arts Gallery #120 in The Shirt Factory, 71 Lawrence St, Glens Falls.

Throughout the fall, join us on select Sundays as talented local artists share their techniques, tools, and creative processes live in the gallery. Admission is free.

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM – Corey Pitkin | Pastel Portraits

Corey is a member of the Pastel Society of American and has participated in multiple solo and invitations group exhibitions throughout the years. He has been the recipient of many awards, including the Award of Excellence from the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, the Eminent Pastelist Award from the International Association of Pastel Studies, and the Art Spirit Foundation Award from the Hudson Valley Art Association.

12:30 - 2:00 PM – Jacquiline Touba, Ph.D | The Process of Watercolor Batik

Dr. Jacquiline Touba has been interested in drawing and pen and ink as a hobby all her life, and became proficient in watercolor batik after she retired in 2013 as the founding director of the World Awareness Children’s Museum in Glens Falls, NY. Since then she has had multiple exhibitions at Crandall Public Library, the North Country Arts Gallery at the Shirt Factory, Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council and multiple locations in Saratoga Springs. She produces coloring books from her pen and ink drawings, story books illustrated with her paintings, and painting series.
